We approach the Tipi Camp as the setting sun begins to bath the Tetons in alpenglow. The roaring camp fire on the river bank is a welcome sight as the late afternoon temperature begins to drop. Appetizers are served around the campfire and we raise our glasses to toast the setting sun. (BYOB) As the sun finally slips over the mountains, we head into the Tipi for dinner. It’s warm in here and in the soft light of the candles we can see that the sofas and chairs are piled high with blankets and pillows so everyone can find a comfortable spot for the feast to come. And what a feast it is! Our Custom Gourmet Dinner features a choice of Wild Caught Salmon or Buffalo NY Steaks, Dutch Oven Baked Potato and Grilled Asparagus with lemon butter and roasted almonds. Deserts are homemade fruit cobbler and coffee. As the evening wears on several wish they could stay the night. A Wyoming winter sky greets us as we emerge from the Tipi. We strap on our snowshoes in the light of the glowing Tipi. Lanterns are now marking the trail from camp and we walk through the dark forest guided by these points of light.
